Ruaha National Park is the largest National Park in Tanzania, covers an area of about 22,000
km². It is one of the few of Tanzania’s famous wilderness areas, whereby the experience of
game viewing spiced up by the exciting landscape and its Great Ruaha River.
The park has a high concentration of elephants, and magnificent mammals like greater and
lesser kudus, sable and roan antelopes can easily be spotted in miombo woodland. The park is
also a habitat for endangered wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elands, impalas,
bat-eared foxes and jackals.
AY 1: DAR ES SALAAM TO RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Depart Dar es Salaam flying to Ruaha National Park. On arrival, your guide will pick you up and
proceed for a half-game drive with a picnic lunch box; later in the afternoon, return to the camp
or lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Full day game drive with picnic lunch, Ruaha is the largest National park in Tanzania, covering
about 22,000 km². The second-largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania, the wide variety of
animals that inhabit the park includes greater and lesser kudus, cheetahs, lions, roan, and sable
antelopes.
DAY 3: RUAHA NATIONAL PARK
Early morning team or coffee then departure for walking safari in the bush with bush breakfast.
You will then proceed for half day game drive with a picnic lunch provided in the mid of the day.
Later in the afternoon, return to the lodge for evening rest and overnight.
DAY 4: RUAHA NATIONAL PARK TO DAR ES SALAAM OR ZANZIBAR
After morning breakfast, en-route game drive to the airstrip for your scheduled departure to Dar
es Salaam or Zanzibar.
